From the lecture:
“I am going to read a text which was written by Anja Neidhardt and me at the beginning of this year. We were asked to write this text for a well-known design magazine – as an introductory text to feminism, design and design education – for their section called “Discourse”. When I finally held the publication in my hand flipping through the pages to find our article – it turned out the editors did not print our footnotes and annotations and edited the text without our consent. As many of you might know – writing and publishing feminist texts makes you vulnerable – and not printing our footnotes and annotations and changing the meaning of sentences left us bare-naked, to say the least.
So it was an especially big pleasure to be here and show-off the awesome network of writers and activists and allies which supported us while writing – in full screen footnotes.”
